School officials have confirmed that a Syosset High School student has MRSA.
The superintendent sent a notification letter to parents yesterday.
School officials say they do not believe other students are at risk of contracting the antibiotic resistant infection.
The school is taking precautions and disinfecting all school equipment daily.
