Sabrina Hornoff arrested in connection to 2012 murder of Felix Hidalgo Jaquez in Medford
More than two years after the body of a man was found shot to death in a burning car in Medford, police say they have made an arrest in connection with the murder.
The body of Felix Hidalgo Jaquez, of Queens, was discovered on July 8, 2012 inside the charred vehicle. Prosecutors charged Sabrina Hornoff, a Florida resident, with murder.
Prosecutors say Hornoff and another man, Thomas Bisbal, lured Jaquez to Suffolk County to rob him of drugs and money. They say security cameras and cellphone records place the two with the victim that day on Long Island.
Police say at the time of the murder, Hornoff had her 7-year-old child with her.
Hornoff is charged with second-degree murder. Bisball is currently in prison on an unrelated robbery charge and has yet to be charged with the murder. Prosecutors expect Bisbal to be arraigned on murder charges next month.
