As fresh as the fish it serves up, the Fulton Fish Market in lower Manhattan opened its doors fully restored and transformed into The Tin Building by Jean-Georges less than four months ago.
The original Tin Building was built back in 1907 and played an integral role in the city's waterfront. The new green and white tin marketplace honors that legacy with the fresh fish it was known for.
The revamped Tin Building is located at Pier 17 in the seaport where the fish market operated for nearly 200 years. It's open seven days a week for shopping and dining.
Visitors can explore the 53,000 square feet of fresh seafood, pastries, pasta and fresh produce.
Inside the Tin Building, visitors will find delicacies and gifts from all over the world as well as chocolates, fruits and vegetables sourced locally from the New York City area.
