Police arrested a Riverhead man Sunday for allegedly boating while intoxicated with his family aboard.
Suffolk officials say Vyautas Stackevicius, 35, was caught during a BWI checkpoint set up on the water, a first for the county.
Stackevicius, while speaking to News 12 Long Island, denied the charges against him, claiming he wasn't drinking.
Police say that the checkpoint Sunday netted two arrests for BWI after stopping 23 boats.
