Residents who want the Kingsbridge Armory to be turned into a community space organized a rally before a project developer is chosen for the project.

The Kingsbridge Armory Redevelopment Alliance (KARA) is the group developers will communicate with once a developer is chosen. Representatives say locals should benefit from the plan.

One of KARA?s goals is to give some of the development jobs to Bronx residents. KARA also says the redevelopment of the armory should benefit kids. The organization also wants to build four schools there.

KARA members say a new developer will be announced some time in November.
