MANHATTAN - New York Mets star David Wright could soon have the biggest contract in the franchise's history.

WFAN radio reports Wright and the team have reached an eight year, $138 million deal.

The agreement would keep the 3rd baseman under contract through the 2020 season.

Without it, Wright would be eligible for free agency after next season.
