WOODBURY - Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) is calling for a more in-depth investigation into the death of a soldier from Long Island.

Marine Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley Jr., 21, was killed last August while working out in a gym in Afghanistan. He and three fellow Marines were at a facility helping to train Afghan troops when a gunman barged in and opened fire.

The victim's father, Greg Buckley Sr., says he wants the gunman to be prosecuted and he's urging Rep. King for assistance. King says he has sent letter to government officials calling for a thorough probe.

In the meantime, Buckley's father says he worries that soldiers are still at risk, even if they think they're within safe havens.
