Gun violence was the topic of a roundtable discussion involving students at Fort Hamilton High School Tuesday.

Rep. Max Rose says the goal of the discussion was simply to listen to what students have to say. He also says it's important to tell students that government plays a part in reducing school shootings.

The discussion carried a lot of weight for students at the school after the principal says the school went through its own threat of gun violence.

Rose says his goal is to visit other schools as well, listening to what other students' concerns are.
