Tuesday's mass shooting in New Jersey has left faith-based organizations in the Bronx on edge.

The Jewish community in the Bronx is voicing their feelings on the attack, all while showing their support for the shaken Jersey City community. The staff at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale says Tuesday's shooting hit very close to home.

Some of the congregants made their way to Jersey City Wednesday evening for a vigil for those who were killed.

Large tribute cards were placed on display in the synagogue. The rabbis tell News 12 that a number of their older students will be signing the cards and sending them to the victim's family. They hope that this will bring them a sense of comfort after the horrific attack.

Officials identified the gunmen in the mass shooting as 47-year-old David Anderson and 50-year-old Francine Graham. Mayor Bill de Blasio has deployed more security around Jewish communities across the city.

The rabbis told News 12 that they hope all religious faiths can come together during this time of hate.
