Rams down Hoyas, stay undefeated in Patriot League
(10/15/07) THE BRONX ? The Fordham Rams football team improved its Patriot League record to 3-0 over the weekend with a 38-31 win over Georgetown in Washington D.C.
The victory marks the first time Fordham has gone 3-0 in the Patriot League since 2002. The team?s overall record improved to 5-2.
Fordham used a potent ground attack to notch the victory, rushing for 298 total yards. Senior Jonte Coven and freshman Zavier Martin each went over the 100-yard mark in the game.
The Rams will next head to Pennsylvania to take on Lafayette College in a battle of the Patriot League unbeatens. Kickoff for that game is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday.
