A Queens man is accused of driving drunk in the wrong direction on Sunrise Highway in Seaford.
Police say Santiago Gaviria was driving east in the westbound lanes around 3:30 a.m. Christmas morning.
The officer activated his emergency lights and blocked all three westbound lanes to prevent a crash, and forced the 22-year-old to stop.
When Gaviria stopped, police say he had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcohol on his breath.
He was taken into custody without incident.
