A job training facility in Hunts Point aims to help the formerly incarcerated.

The 10-week program, called Intervine, received $1.8 million from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office to use over three years to expand job training in fields like horticulture, solar work, park conservancy and more.

It will offer those who qualify hands-on experience with companies throughout the five boroughs, preparing them for future jobs.

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance says he believes the program will bring down crime because it also helps people who are fresh out of prison get new job opportunities.
