Some Locust Valley residents say it took them until Sunday afternoon to have power restored to their homes after the storm.
Some residents on Danton Lane North said while they lost power on Friday night, they were thankful they had generators.
A spokesperson for PSEG says the utility has restored 60,000 outages as a result of the storm since Thursday.
The spokesperson added that the utility had to prioritize the customers in the more severely damaged areas because it takes more crews and more time to restore power.
