Power has been restored after three manhole fires engulfed two cars and cut electricity to customers in the Bronx on Tuesday.
The incident happened on Davidson Avenue Tuesday afternoon, leaving neighbors without power.
No one was hurt, but some affected residents use oxygen masks and nebulizers that require electricity to make it through the night. Other neighbors say some of their food has already spoiled.
"All my food, I had to give to my neighbor in another block, because the whole building has no electricity," says resident Jaqueline Cardona.
Con Edison says at least 86 customers lost power after the fire.
Workers say they laid down temporary electrical lines to restore power while new lines will have to be installed soon.
