As schools open across Nassau and Suffolk, is a COVID-19 outbreak on Long Island inevitable?
That's one of the questions News 12's Rich Barrabi asked state Sen. John Brooks this week on episode Power and Politics. Last week, Gov. Cuomo suggested that an outbreak could be inevitable if districts fail to follow mitigation guidelines. Sen. Brooks says at the very least, it's a "real possibility" that districts may have to shut down at some point in the school year. He also talks about state school aid for districts and the "Let Them Play" movement.
