The 23-room Victorian home of Theodore Roosevelt, was the summer White House during his presidency. With furnishings unchanged since this time, it features mementos of the president's life, big-game trophies and gifts from world leaders.

The landscaped grounds can be enjoyed from one of Roosevelt's old rockers on the porch. The National Park Service administers the site and offers lectures and environmental programs.

Hours: Museum hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed.-Sun. Grounds open daily from 9 a.m. to dusk. See website for special events.
