Police say they've arrested the two men allegedly behind a rash of home burglaries in Suffolk County.
Police say Ronald Dunlop, 55, and Thomas Maglares, 18, are facing multiple charges.
Over the past week, the pair allegedly broke into homes in Port Jefferson Station and Holbrook, and also attempted to burglarize a home in Mount Sinai.
They were arrested Friday when a witness in Port Jefferson Station saw someone "exit a home under suspicious circumstances" and called police, officials said in a news release. Police were on the lookout for the suspects' make and model car, and were able to track down the suspects after an investigation.
Police say the pair may have been behind other burglaries. Anyone with information is urged to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
