Police probe death of child in Amityville
Police say the 5-year-old unresponsive child was found in a home on Ketcham Avenue. (January 16, 2013)
AMITYVILLE - Police are investigating the death of a 4-year-old child in Amityville today.
Officials say that they were called to a home at 89 Ketcham Ave. at around 3:45 p.m. and found an unresponsive child in the home.
The child was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where the child was pronounced dead.
Officials have not identified the child or given any information as to a cause of death.
