Two Milford parents are under investigation after a YouTube video allegedly depicting child abuse was brought to the attention of authorities.
Alessandra Sillo and Daniel Perez face charges of risk of injury and risk of injury and threatening, respectively. Police say more charges are possible as they continue to investigate.
The couple lived in Milford with their 2- and 3-year-old sons. Their home is now condemned, officials saying they found animal feces, nails protruding from the floor boards and no running water inside. Neighbors say they saw the children playing alone on the roof of the home. Both boys are now in foster care.
Police responded to the home after receiving reports of a live video on YouTube depicting child abuse. Police say they believe Perez was playing a video game with his microphone hot and was recorded hitting and yelling at his crying children.
The police, who say they saw possible burn marks on one of the children, notified the Department of Children and Families of the condition of the home and children. DCF visited the house and was set to meet with the family again the following day. In the interim, the parents left with their sons, police say.

Police tracked the family to Warwick, Rhode Island, where they removed the children from their parents' custody and charged the couple.
Both were arraigned on Monday.
Neighbors say they are relieved that arrests were made.
"We're all kind of happy that the kids will be safe now and have a chance at a decent upbringing and hopefully they'll be brought to justice," said Linda Wilson.
According to police, the internet video was deleted after they arrived at the home and asked about it. The authorities have prepared a warrant requesting a copy of the original from Google.
