A man was stabbed in Milford Thursday during an altercation between two contractors, police say.

Police say the stabbing happened outside of Lindsay Transportation in the 1100 block of Oronoque Road just after 7 a.m.

A Lindsay employee tells News 12 the two men are not employees of the business but contractors.

Police say the men got into some kind of altercation, and one of them stabbed the other while he was sitting inside a car.

The suspect was outside of the car when the stabbing happened, according to police. Officials say the victim drove himself to the hospital after the incident and the suspect ran off.

Police responded to both the hospital and the work site at Lindsay Transportation where the company makes concrete barriers.

They say the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
