A man was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in Mount Hope.

Police say it happened just before 1 a.m. on 54 E. 176th St.

News 12 is told when authorities arrived, they found a 45-year-old man unconscious.

Detectives say the victim had been stabbed in the stomach. He was rushed to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, but he did not survive.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Police are still investigating what led up to the homicide.
