Nassau police say they arrested an Elmont man for driving drunk on a rim with his two children in the car.
It happened early Saturday morning on the Hempstead Turnpike. Police say they got a call about a car driving on its rim with no tire.
They responded to the scene and found a 2015 Nissan parked with a missing driver's side tire and a broken rim.
Officers say they initiated a traffic stop and determined that the driver, identified as 41-year-old Oscar Collahuazo, had bloodshot eyes and breath that smelled of alcohol.
Police say Collahuazo's children, ages 11 and 7, were in the vehicle.
Collahuazo was placed under arrest and is charged with two counts of DWI under Leandra's Law, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and multiple traffic infractions.
