The search is on in East Garden City for the man police say broke into a McDonald’s ATM overnight Sunday.

The incident happened just before 3 a.m.

Police say the man used cutting tools to crack open the ATM and steal an unknown amount of money.

An employee opening the restaurant Sunday morning noticed the damage to the machine and called police.
