Police increase DWI patrols ahead of holiday weekend
Police are warning people who drive under the influence that patrols will be stepped up this holiday weekend.
According to officials, extra police will be on the road looking for drivers under the influence throughout Long Island.
The Nassau DA's office is funding increased patrols for Long Beach.
Meanwhile, Suffolk has deployed additional officers to catch impaired drivers.
