Police: Huntington teen assaulted near Prospect and Main streets

<p>Police say a 16-year-old Huntington girl was assaulted early Sunday morning. right off of Main Street.</p>

Police say a 16-year-old Huntington girl was assaulted early Sunday morning, right off of Main Street.
Authorities say that the teen was walking with a friend at 1:15 a.m. when she was assaulted by a man near the intersection of Prospect and Main streets near the Huntington library.
Police describe the man as Hispanic, between 20 and 25 years old, with acne and a scar on his forehead.
Investigators say the suspect's hair is cut short on the sides and is long on top of his head.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
