Suffolk police say that a Centereach man was arrested Thursday for robbing a woman while she was pumping gas in North Amityville.
The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. at a Citgo station located at 655 Broadway.
Officials say Billy McMahon displayed a pellet gun and robbed the woman of cash. McMahon fled the scene on foot, but was located by officers a short distance away.
The 24-year-old has been charged with first-degree robbery.
