Police arrest Commack man on 18th public lewdness charge
A Commack man has been accused of exposing himself in public for the 18th time.
Police say a female employee at Saks Fifth Avenue says she was approached by Frank Lombardi, 48, last week while walking to her car at the Walt Whitman Mall.
They say the employee claimed Lombardi gestured for her to come over to his car. When she did, she allegedly saw him touching himself inappropriately.
Lombardi's court-appointed attorney could not answer specific questions, saying he hadn't yet spoken with his client.
Lombardi pleaded not guilty and was held on $25,000 cash bail. Lombardi is due back in court on Nov. 9.
According to court documents obtained by News 12 Long Island, Lombardi admitted to police that in order to relieve stress, he drives up to women in parking lots and fondles himself. He has 17 prior public lewdness convictions.
News 12 has confirmed that Lombardi's previous incidents date back to 1994. Lombardi has been arrested for incidents at the Smith Haven Mall, Sunrise Mall, Suffolk Community College, St. Joseph's College and a YMCA.
