A 9-year-old boy discovered unresponsive in a Nesconset pool Friday has been hospitalized in critical condition.
Police say the child was found in the pool on 5th Street at around 6:13 p.m. Several neighbors removed him and performed CPR until first responders arrived.
The boy was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, according to authorities.
