Police: 3 children, 2 adults hurt after car loses control in Babylon

Police say several children were injured after a car lost control on the Southern State Parkway.
According to police, a Honda Accord crashed into the woods on the eastbound side of parkway in Babylon on Tuesday night.
Three children were in the car with their mother and her friend, according to Newsday.
Police say an 8-year-old from Huntington Station was unresponsive and is now being treated at Good Samaritan Hospital. A 7-year-old had a severe head injury.
A 6-year-old and the children's 44-year-old mother suffered minor injuries.
The driver, from Bridgeport, Conn., also suffered minor injuries, police say.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
