Police say two women were attacked by masked gunmen during a home invasion in Seaford Monday.

Authorities say two women were inside a home on Hampton Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday when a pair of masked men broke in. They say the men pulled out guns and hit the women’s heads and faces, and then ran away.

Rino Golija says he happened to be near the house at the time and heard a woman screaming from inside. He says that the woman was covered in blood.

Some neighbors tell News 12 that crimes like this are unusual for the area.

Nassau police say the investigation is ongoing and didn't want to comment further.
