Suffolk police say officers responded to a report that someone was shot in the rear lot of 1527 Straight Path just after 11:30 a.m.
Police discovered Derrick Dixon had been shot multiple times. Dixon, of Wyandanch, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
