Piping Rock Beach in Locust Valley closed to bathing

The Nassau County Department of Health has closed Piping Rock Beach in Locust Valley to bathing due to elevated bacterial levels.

The Nassau County Department of Health has closed Piping Rock Beach in Locust Valley to bathing due to elevated bacterial levels.
This beach will remain closed until testing indicates that samples are within acceptable limits.
In addition, Biltmore Beach in Massapequa, Morgan Beach in Glen Cove and Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway remain closed until further notice due to elevated bacterial levels.
