Parents say daughter was sexually harassed at Kellenberg Memorial H.S.
The parents of a 12-year-old girl say their daughter was harassed and sexually assaulted by other students at Kellenberg Memorial High School, and that the school didn't do enough to protect their daughter or hold the accused teens responsible.
The student's parents say the incident started out as harassment online, and it turned physical in the school earlier in the year. They claim their daughter was groped by two male students repeatedly over the course of several weeks.

The girl's parents, who did not want to speak to News 12 on camera, said the response from the school on the alleged incident was nothing short of what they say is disgraceful, disappointing and disgusting.
Brother Kenneth, of Kellenberg, tells News 12 that the incident was a disciplinary situation that happened between two seventh-graders in the middle school. He went on to say that school addressed the situation immediately and according to their procedure. Brother Kenneth said the incident includes minors, and he was not at liberty to discuss the details of the situation.

The parents of the alleged victim say their daughter is now attending a new school.

A spokesman for the district attorney's office says they do not have jurisdiction over the investigation because of the ages of the accused individuals and they have referred the case to the county attorney.  The family of the alleged victim tells News 12 that they are still considering pressing charges.  There is a petition on change.org for the school to strengthen its sexual misconduct policies.
