The Patchogue-based Angels of Long Island is pledging to help federal workers impacted by the government shutdown.
The organization helps families in need with everything from food to house items and even gift cards.
Over the past few days, founder Debra Loesch says her inbox has been filling up with pleas for help. She says some of her regular donors are now the ones in need because of the shutdown.
"They've been out of work -- no paycheck for a while," she says. "They don't have food, they have children."
Anyone who wishes to donate can do so HERE.
