Police say a man has been arrested in connection with anti-Muslim graffiti that was found at two separate locations in Brooklyn, just five blocks away from each other earlier this week.
Along with a video of a suspect, investigators tell News 12 they believe the suspect spray-painted anti-Muslim statements on several entrance doors to P.S. 52 and on East 29th Street just before 9 p.m. Sunday.
Alan Tatten, 55, is now facing charges of aggravated harassment as a hate crime and crimincal mischief as a hate crime.
Nadrah Zamzami graduated from P.S. 52., and says she can't understand the hatred.
"It's terrible, I did not expect that this would be happening today," says Zamami.

Councilman Chaim Deutsch tweeted out photos of the graffiti with the words "kill Arabs" at a bus shelter just five blocks away on Nostrand Avenue and Avenue V.
Police tell News 12 they believe the graffiti was sprayed sometime between Sunday and Monday. It was reported to police around 11:20 a.m. Monday.
Councilman Deutsch says with the help of Speaker Corey Johnson he's allocated nearly $2 million for cameras to be placed near parks, schools and houses of worship.
"These cameras can prevent and hold these people accountable who are committing these hateful acts," says Councilman Deutsch.
However, he says they need to do more and that he is going to work to put together a five-borough task force to focus on this disturbing trend of hate.
Gov. Cuomo released a statement directing the state's Hate Crimes Task Force to assist in the investigation saying in part, "our message to those who spew this bigotry is simple: there is no place for hate in New York state and anyone found responsible for this heinous act will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."
