A New York City Department of Education employee is accused of snapping upskirt photos of a woman on a Bronx-bound 2 train, police say.
Police say Michael Olan, 29, who works as a paraprofessional at a Manhattan school, took the photos of a woman on the train Monday around 5 p.m. as the it was leaving Pelham Parkway station.
Two officers observed Olan take the photos up the woman's skirt on the train before arresting him, according to police.
The victim was unaware she was being photographed until officers arrested Olan, police say.
A spokesperson for the Department of Education commented in a statement by saying "These allegations are completely unacceptable and Mr. Olan was immediately suspended without pay pending the resolution of this criminal matter."
Olan is facing unlawful surveillance charges and could face a four-year sentence if convicted.
