A Rockland organization took the day Tuesday to thank the everyday heroes of the coronavirus pandemic.

Annie Hekker Weiss is with Nyack Nourishes, a GoFundMe page that has already raised thousands of dollars to pay local restaurants to feed health care workers and essential workers.

The group hit the street with hundreds of brown bags filled with food donations to say thank you to the everyday heroes making life possible during the pandemic.

Nyack residents got creative by decorating their mailboxes and garbage cans in honor of those heroes.
