WOODBURY - The Yankees are stepping up to the plate for a Long Island boy who's battling a devastating disease.Six-year-old Steven Heckman was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia nearly a year ago, and he's facing another two years of chemotherapy in hopes of treating it. Steven doesn't need a bone marrow transplant right now, but some of his hospital friends do. The Yankees have teamed up with nonprofit DKMS to bring bone marrow donor registry stations to Saturday's game.
