QUIOGUE - Police say a young woman lost her hand in a water skiing accident in Quiogue. The incident happened at a company outing yesterday afternoon in the Quantuck Bay. Police say the 22-year-old woman was being towed by a co-worker when her hand got wrapped in the tow rope and was severed.

The woman is at Stony Brook University Hospital in serious but stable condition.
