Woman grilled about dealings with ex accused of framing her

QUEENS - The Far Rockaway woman who was thrown in jail for a crime she did not commit was back on the witness stand today to testify against the man who allegedly raped her and then set her up.

Seemona Sumasar was questioned for hours about her business, a Golden Krust bakery, and her ex-boyfriend Jerry Ramrattan's involvement in it.

Ramrattan's attorney, Frank Kelly, insists that Sumasar didn't want his client to have a part in her business, and that is why she falsely accused him of raping her.

Sumasar, however, says Ramrattan framed her for a series of armed robberies to prevent her from reporting the rape.

Inside the courtroom, Ramrattan's relatives called Sumasar a liar, but witnesses for the prosecution testified that Sumasar is telling the truth, admitting that they're the ones who lied about being robbed by Sumasar at gunpoint because Ramrattan offered to pay them to set her up.

More witnesses for the prosecution are expected to take the stand tomorrow and Friday.
