Wicked winds knocked out power and snarled some Long Islanders' commutes today.

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) officials say a broken LIPA utility pole was leaning on electrical lines west of the Hicksville station, suspending service on the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma lines. Service was restored just before 4 p.m.
