SYOSSET - The snowstorm that unleashed a fresh round of snow across Long Island Friday was a nuisance to some, but a windfall for others -- particularly youngsters who saw their weekend grow into a snowy, three-day fun fest.

The wet, heavy snow from the storm made for building excellent snowmen and snow forts, News 12 is told. It’s also superb for sledding sessions.

Children were at the slopes at the Syosset Woodbury Community Park Friday afternoon to bask in the super sledding weather.
