WEST ISLIP - A West Islip man is accused of impersonating a federal agent.

Police say Shaun Coppola, 24, tried to stop a driver in Bay Shore last month using a red strobe light.

Coppola allegedly pulled alongside in his Jeep and told the driver he was a federal agent.

According to police, when the driver asked for ID, Coppola sped off. Police are asking anyone else who may have been stopped by the man to call them.
