West Babylon woman killed in apartment fire above Lions Club
The fire took place at the Lions Club. (March 4, 2013)
WEST BABYLON - Police say a West Babylon woman was killed in an apartment fire yesterday afternoon.
The fire broke out above the West Babylon Lions Club on Little East Neck Road around 4:30 p.m.
Firefighters found the body of the unidentified woman inside.
A half a dozen tenants are now homeless due to the fire.
Homicide detectives and the arson squad are now investigating the incident.
