WOODBURY - News 12 Long Island meteorologists are tracking a storm system that's expected to develop over the Atlantic Ocean on Friday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for most of Suffolk and parts of Nassau, in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday at 1 p.m.

News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Bill Korbel says it's too early to tell just how much snow Long Island will get. Weather models show a wide range of possibilities, from several inches to several feet. Korbel says that for now, Long Islanders can expect the storm to develop by Friday afternoon to Saturday morning.
