WOODBURY - A winter storm watch is in effect for Nassau and Suffolk counties until Thursday at 7 p.m.

Forecasters say to expect Tuesday’s snow and flurries to mix with sleet and freezing rain from 8-11 p.m. A wintry mix will become all rain after 11 p.m.

Long Island can expect about 1-3 inches of snow before the changeover to rain.

Meteorologists are continuing to track a storm that could impact the area on Thursday.
