WOODBURY - The first winter storm of the season has subsided across the Island, leaving behind several inches of snow and icy roads.

About 2-5 inches of snow were left on the ground in most areas, with the East End being hit the hardest by the storm, coming in at about 6 inches.

Temperatures are expected to drop throughout the evening hours, making for hazardous road conditions. Drivers are advised to use caution.
