WOODBURY - The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Nassau and Suffolk counties through Thursday at 4 a.m.
A coastal flood warning is also in effect for Nassau and Suffolk counties through Thursday at 6 a.m.
News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Bill Korbel says we should expect more snow that will get lighter as the evening goes on.
Tonight, the wind, rain and snow will continue. Snow could accumulate up to 2 inches in some areas. Western Long Island could get up to 4 inches, while the East End will see less, Korbel says.
Officials warn that the strong winds could take down trees and power lines. News 12 Weather Center
