WOODBURY - Bad news for hundreds of thousands of Long Islanders recovering from Superstorm Sandy: near-freezing temperatures are settling in, and a strong coastal storm is expected for Wednesday into Thursday.News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Norm Dvoskin says temperatures around 32 degrees or lower will seize much of the Island for the next few nights. A coastal storm or nor'easter could bring heavy rain and gusty winds Wednesday into Thursday, Dvoskin says. The storm could bring more beach erosion, coastal flooding and possibly more power outages.
