Weather update: Overnight snow for Long Island

Snow totals will range from 1 to 3 inches. The highest totals are expected on the South Fork. (2/13/13)

WOODBURY - The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Suffolk and Nassau counties through Thursday at 6 a.m.

News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Bill Korbel says some light rain and snow will develop by 9 p.m.

The snow will be light to moderate at times on the South Shore and East End overnight.
